Fall Engagement Photos in Whitecourt Alberta
Let’s dive right in
to this intimate fall engagement photography session in Whitecourt Alberta! Kaley & Ethan have an amazing back story when it comes to how we discovered each other and how they ended up deciding to choose me to be their wedding photographer. Back in the spring of 2024, I posted a free model call on my instagram story because I wanted to check out a new location in St. Albert I’ve never photographed before. I do this often when I just want to test out something new without disrupting or adding any pressure to my paying clients. Kaley was quick to respond as her and Ethan had just gotten engaged, so we set a date and time. Their original free spring engagement session with me is also up on the blog so just scroll back a few and you’ll be able to see the magic we created that day.
This experience with them was the perfect example that if you put good energy into the universe, the universe will give it back because after viewing their final photos from our free session together, they decided to book me for their fall wedding coming up in 2025. Fast forward a few months after booking, we scheduled their complimentary engagement photography session and that’s the gallery I’ll be sharing with you below!

Are complimentary engagement sessions really that important? And my simple answer is HECK YES!! Not only is it complimentary, meaning it’s free for you to enjoy with your wedding photography package, but this is the perfect time for us to meet if we have not done so already and just get to know each other better before your wedding day. Complimentary engagement photography sessions are also a great way for you to get comfortable in front of a camera and get more comfortable with my shooting style before I photograph your wedding. I try to keep my engagement sessions and my wedding photography portrait sessions that happen on your wedding day, a little bit similar. We do slightly similar posing and prompts as this helps you feel more confident in front of a camera come your wedding day. So take advantage of the complimentary engagement session, Kaley & Ethan definitely did and we took their engagement session back to their hometown in Whitecourt Alberta as this is also where their wedding will be taking place!
